Hansika has a busy year ahead. The actress has multiple films in her kitty, five of which will hit the screens in the coming months till December and her Telugu film Power is releasing on September 12.

“Power is a very special film for me and is one of the finest films of my career. I have played a character that I have never done before. My role has a lot of comedy,” says Hansika about the film.

She adds, “Ravi Teja helps the co-artistes and he is a very kind person. Working with him was a wonderful experience and we felt like a family on the sets,” she says. Asked about the onscreen chemistry between the two, especially as she is half of Ravi Teja’s age, she says, “I may be in my 20s but Ravi Teja’s energy levels are very high and his performance and dances are like a 25-year-olds. I don’t think that the age difference mattered,” says the actress.

The actress has lost weight recently and become very slim. “It’s not a conscious decision. I entered the industry at very young age and I was like any normal girl at the age of 17 or 18. At that age most girls are a little plump.

When I turned 21 I started losing weight, again a normal thing for any girl my age. I did not take a conscious decision to reduce my weight,” says the actress. Hansika started her career as a lead actress with Telugu films and is now busy in Tamil films.

“I have a total of nine films on hand; eight of them Tamil and one Telugu, which is Power. I am getting very good scripts in Tamil and I have a good position in the Tamil industry. If I get good scripts, I will do Telugu films.” she clarifies.

When asked about her chances of shifting to Bollywood, Hansika says, “I am very comfortable in Telugu and Tamil. I don’t have any desire to move to Hindi. It’s not on my mind at all. I started my career in the Telugu industry, I am doing very well here and starring in Hindi films is not important for me.

I got many offers from Bollywood, but I did not take up any. What is the point of being average in all — Hindi, Tamil and Telugu? I would rather stick to where I am doing good.”
