On Friday, the Supreme Court set October 14 as the final hearing date for Bollywood superstar Salman Khan in connection with the 1998 blackbuck poaching case.
Earlier on August 27th, Salman had filed an affidavit in the SC and made an appeal for a stay on his conviction in the poaching case.
For the uninitiated, a complaint was filed against Salman and actors Saif Ali Khan, Tabu, Neelam and Sonali Bendre in connection with the hunting of protected blackbucks, in October 1998. The actors were accused ofpoaching two blackbucks in Kankani village near Jodhpur, where they were shooting the film ‘Hum Saath Saath Hain’.
